Dr. Nicholas G. Camarinos

Dr. Nicholas G. Camarinos has practiced podiatry in the New York community for over four decades and maintains a full service foot-care practice in Astoria, New York. Dr. Camarinos also serves as Chief of Podiatric Surgery at the Jamaica Hospital Medica Center located in Jamaica, Queens, New York, where he supervises a nationally renowned residency program responsible for training well over one hundred surgical residents.
He is board certified as a Diplomat of the American Board of Podiatric Surgery and is a Fellow of the American College of Foot Surgeons. Dr. Camarinos was inducted into the National Academy of Practice in Podiatric Medicine as a Distinguished Practitioner and Fellow by distinguished peers and recognized for having made enduring contributions to his profession.
In the past, he has served as a clinical associate professor of surgery, external faculty, at the New York College of Podiatric Medicine. His research involving new treatments and surgical procedures for free tissue transfers in the treatment of diabetic foot ulcers, case reports on gangrenosum, and an in-depth analysis and treatment protocol on tendon injuries have been published by the Journal of the American Podiatric Medical Association.
Dr. Camarinos received his Doctor of Podiatric Medicine from the New York College of Podiatric Medicine. He graduated from St. John's University with a Bachelors of Science in Pharmacy and maintains his license to practice pharmacy.
Dr. Camarinos has appeared on numerous television and radio programs as an expert on foot care and podiatric surgery. He has lectured extensively on various topics.
He is a Past President of the Society of Honorary Police Surgeons of the City of New York, a Past President of the Astoria Civic Association, a former Trustee of the Board of St. John's Prepatory High School and a former Member of Planning Board 1 in Queens County.
